EMBRACE KEEP ZAMBIA CLEAN CAMPAIGN

Kalabo Town Council workers on Friday, 29th November, 2024 took part in the weekly Keep Zambia Clean, Green and Healthy Campaign by cleaning the surroundings and planting dozens of trees around the Civic Centre premises.

Council Secretary, Alisinda Nawa, is grateful to all those who participated in the weekly cleaning activities and encouraged all Zambians to embrace this exercise.

“This tree planting and cleaning exercise is not only for the council workers alone, no. All Zambians, especially public service workers, need to take this presidential directive seriously and fully participate.”

Recently, government, via a Cabinet Circular, directed Councils across the country to spearhead the implementation of the weekly “Keep Zambia Clean, Green and Healthy” Campaign to be conducted every Friday. Kalabo Town Council management and staff warmly welcomed this directive and have continued to participate in this very important exercise.

The Council remains committed to ensuring a cleaner and greener Kalabo, and management encourages all stakeholders and residents to join hands in keeping Zambia clean, green, and healthy.
