Kalabo Town Council is participating in a website content management and cyber security training being conducted by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development at the Local Government training institute Chalimbana, Chongwe.
The training is aimed at enhancing IT skills in Officers in order to harness the digital potential in Local authorities.
Kalabo is being represented by the Relief Public Relations Officer, ICT Officer and Environmental Planner .
Speaking during the Official opening of the Training yesterday, the Ministry IT Director, Ms. Judy Beene emphasized the need for effective website content management, stressing the need to use websites as tools for marketing in local economic development.
With this training Local authorities across the Republic are expected to use digital platforms to promote Communication, Marketing and building transparency and accountability within their localities.
