CONSTRUCTION OF MODERN ACCESS ROADS IN LIUWA CONSTITUENCY HAS COMMENCED.

On 22nd, August, 2025, we reported via this platform that Kalabo District is set to receive a major facelift, with the prospective construction of modern access roads to open up Liuwa National Park and other areas in order to boost tourism, transport and local economy. Today, we come to confirm that the Construction of these roads has commenced at Salunda Bridge.

This milestone, is a tastament to the good plans of the New dawn Administration for the people of Liuwa and the general development of Tourism and Job creation in this sector. The road project will create a lot of direct Jobs to the people of Liuwa and Kalabo in Particular in the next 5 years of the project implementation.

Dr. Musokotwane further revealed that the access roads will start from Silanda Bridge to Kuuli and proceed to Mutaa, near the neighboring Mitete District. He added that another ring road will proceed from Silanda Bridge to Luola and link Lukena and other sites of the park. This project will also help benefit the local economy through improved market access for locals, especially fish and livestock farmers. In the pictures, the Contractor through RDA is working.
