Kalabo Town Council today held an orientation workshop to roll out the Cash for work Management Information system training. The training was aimed at equipping all ICT personnel and key stakeholders in all 116 Councils with technical and operational competencies required in the implementation of the revised cash for work program.
The system is aimed at enhancing Transparency, Accountability Efficiency and Accuracy in the implementation of the Cash for work by automating key business processes, strengthening data Management and ensuring timely reporting and decision Making.
Speaking during the Official Opening of the Meeting, Kalabo Town Council Secretary Mr. Alisinda Nawa highlighted the importance of implementing digital Transformation across Public Institutions. He said the implementation of the revised cash for work program is an important milestone in improving service delivery and ensuring that the program benefits reach the intended beneficiaries.
He implored all the data clerks who attended the training to pay particular attention and produce good results in the field. The Training was conducted by officials from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural development, Smart Zambia and Officers from the Office of the Provincial Local Government Office.
